Hotel Fanes
Natural luxury in its purest form for the leading Wellness Hotel in South Tyrol
Surrounded by mountain meadows and larch forests, the ****s Dolomiti Wellness Hotel Fanes is enthroned on a south-facing slope below the Fanes Group in the Alta Badia (Hochabteital), just a five-minute walk from the village centre of San Cassiano (St. Kassian). Lasa Marmo produced and supplied tiles in LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO® and LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO FORTE® for wall sections and floors of several bathrooms in suites, lofts and chalets for the luxury hotel, lovingly run by the Crazzolara hotelier family. Lasa Marmo also supplied LASA marble paving stones, which were used to clad the exterior façade and in the bathrooms of the chalets as both decorative and functional wall elements.
The design of the Dolomiti Wellness Hotel Fanes is characterised by its upscale furnishing style with classic furniture and the use of high-quality materials. All accommodation units have a balcony with a panoramic view of the Dolomites or the valley and a separate bathroom with shower or bathtub. In the "Esperienza Chalets South Tyrol", which are connected to the main house underground, the concept of traditional alpine construction and the highest modern comfort was continued. In the outdoor area, Lasa marble in paving stone format takes the place of the usual stone façade and amazes there with its delicate linear form. The architects Dr. Christian Schärmer (architecture) and Barbara Widmann (interior design) from Bolzano (Bozen) were responsible for the planning and construction management. They combined luxurious comfort with Alpine tradition and fused the interior and furnishings of the rooms, lofts and suites with the impressive backdrop of the South Tyrolean Dolomites that can be experienced on site.
At the same time, marble LASA comes to the fore in the bathroom area. And this in two different forms: In a refined form, floor and wall surfaces in the wet areas of some rooms and suites of the main house as well as the large-area lofts of the chalets were covered with tiles measuring 61 x 30.5 x 1 cm in the Lasa Marmo commercial varieties LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO® and LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO FORTE®.
In keeping with the design of the exterior façade, wall elements were additionally built behind free-standing or wall-mounted bathtubs for decorative as well as functional reasons, which are composed of 8 x 8 x 8 cm split-rough Lasa marble paving stones. In the wet areas of the particularly large chalets, such as the "Chalet Gran Cil" with a total floor space of 120 m², this comfortable and luxurious atmosphere comes into its own.
The exclusive oasis of well-being is crowned here with a gold mosaic bathtub in the shape of a lady's slipper. A free-standing wall divides the bathing unit into two areas. The side of the wall facing the bathtub is composed of paving stones made of Lasa marble, while the side behind it facing the shower is tiled with polished marble of the Lasa Marmo variety LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO FORTE®. Using selected natural building materials such as Lasa marble or old wood from Val Badia (Gadertal), they realised an architectural style yielding unique experiences in such upscale hotels. It is not without reason that Hotel Fanes is one of the "Leading Wellness Hotels in South Tyrol". We are proud to have made a significant and important contribution to this with our refined products.
