Park Hotel Vitznau
Lasa marble refines wellness resort in the Park Hotel Viznau
In 2012, Lasa Marmo supplied floor and wall panels as well as treads in the LASA BIANCO ORTLES® grade quality for the hotel's own Spa & Wellness area of the 5-star Superior Park Hotel Vitznau on Lake Lucerne. For the 21 metre long and 9 metre wide heated Infinity outdoor pool, the overflow channel and the rounded massive access steps to the pool were manufactured in the Lasa marble Works. The surfaces for the floors were sand-waterjet treated and polished. The surfaces of the wall panels were also treated, polished and sanded with the sand-waterjet process. A staircase with massive steps made of white Lasa marble also connects the two levels of the Spa & Wellness area in the Swiss luxury hotel.
Built in 1903, the building looks back on over 100 years of hotel history. The hotelier Josef Anton Bon from Ragaz had the building built according to plans by the architect Karl Gottlieb Koller, also from Ragaz. In spring 2009, the hotel changed ownership to the Park Hotel Vitznau AG. After extensive renovation, a hotel of the 5-star superior class presents itself today with an exceptional ambience within the magnificent hundred-year-old walls. State-of-the-art technology, luxurious furnishings and nostalgic charm are combined in perfection with amenities that have been the result of a visionary concept right from the start. The decision of the owners for refined Lasa marble as the finishing material in the hotel's large-scale wellness resort is based not only on the colour qualities of the natural stone, but also on the particularly good load-bearing properties that Lasa marble exhibits, which can withstand the wear and tear even in the Spa & Wellness area.
