Grand Hotel Tremezzo
Exclusive marble for hammam and steam bath for five-star hotel on Lake Como
In 2015, Lasa Marmo supplied the complete marble cladding and furnishings for part of the spa area of the five-star Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como. A total of 150 square metres of LASA VENATO CEVEDALE® grade marble were processed at the Lasa (Laas) marble factory and used for the hotel’s hammam and the associated steam room. Since completion, guests are now immersed in exclusive, luxuriously appointed rooms, which are completely lined with refined Lasa marble. In the middle of the steam bath is the typical Hammamat marble slab for personal hygiene. A water cascade shower, a couple’s bath and a steam bath complete the traditional Turkish cleaning ritual offered by the hotel in the wellness resort.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is one of the most beautiful and oldest luxury hotels on Lake Como. Built in Art Nouveau style and opened in 1910, the palace hotel is located directly on the shore of the lake in the Tremezzo district of the municipality of Tremezzina. Around the turn of the century, Lake Como was one of the most popular destinations for the then growing tourism industry of the European upper class. With its numerous splendidly designed salons and halls, the family-run hotel still conveys the special charm and elitist flair of that time. A 1,000 square metre spa area makes the leap into the modern age. In addition to an infinity pool, the hammam and steam room, made of unique white-grey veined Lasa marble, form the highlight of the equally unique wellness area in the Grand Hotel.
