2016The WTC Transportation Hub in New York is opened

In 2016, the programme to renew and improve infrastructure at the Lasa Marble Works will be continued. In New York, the WTC Transportation Hub is nearing completion. For four years, the futuristic and symbolic building on Ground Zero, designed by the Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava, was equipped with 70,000 parts from LASA BIANCO NUVOLATO®. The new subway station at the World Trade Center will open on 3 March 2016. In October 2016, the majority of Lasa Marmo's workforce will go on a week-long outing to New York and visit the construction site that has been supplied with white, refined LASA marble from the production halls for over four years.
