around 1700Statues of emperors in the Austrian National Library

Peter and Paul Strudel also used marble from Lasa to create the emperors’ statues in the court library’s Hall of Honor, now known as the Austrian National Library. After the death of Paul Strudel in 1708, his brother Peter continued the work until his own death in 1714. After the death of the Strudel brothers the documented supply of marble becomes increasingly rare.
