1956Mitterwand quarry resumes its activity
Large sums of money were invested in the construction of a road linking the Weißwasserbruch quarry and the "Wandl”, of a canteen and of lodgings at Covelano Hut. Antonio Consiglio advised Lasa to hire and resume activities at the Mitterwand quarry. His arguments on the possible and imminent exhaustion of the pure white marble of Mitterwand quarry certainly met the objections of the supervisory board, but the prospects of being able to maintain the monopoly led the management to ask the municipality of Lasa for a renting contract.
