1964Liquidity problems

Despite his proud entrepreneurial philosophy Giuseppe Sonzogno had to face various financial struggles especially during the mid sixties. In 1961 Lasa Marmo had 184 employees. The number rose to 195 in 1962 and to 237 in 1963. In 1964 there were 227 people who made their living by working at Lasa Marmo. The balance sheet of 1965 shows a loss of nearly 70 million Lire. This created a serious liquidity problem, which Sonzogno initially shifted onto the workers.
