1996Lechner Marmor AG gets the rights to extract at the Jennwand quarry

In February 1996, Lechner Marmor AG obtained the mining authority’s franchise to extract at the Jennewand quarry, under a "minor" condition. Lechner had to show the Province’s Industry authority that "the inclined plane has to be used in order to access the quarry”. According to the experts this condition made the license fictitious. Under this condition Lasa Marmo would have had to make the inclined plane, which it owned, available to its direct competitors. It was felt that influential circles intended to jeopardize an agreement between "Lechner" and "Lasa".
