Lechner Marmor JSC bought out Lasa Marmo JSC in November 2008 and the amalgamation of the two companies marks an important milestone in the history of the enterprise. The new owners of Lasa Marmo took over a well-managed, well-established firm from the Sonzogno family whose father-and-daughter team, Giuseppe and Elisabeta, were the first to appreciate the value of the local Lasa marble. They saw to it that their company worked efficiently and honestly to maintain the highest possible standards and earn itself an enviable reputation. A new chapter in the history of the Lasa Marble company began after it was taken over by Lechner Marmor. The new owners set out to continue the work of the previous ones, the Sonzogno family, as well as reopening the historical Lechner quarry. This ensured that the company went from strength to strength and soon gained an enviable position on the world market.
